Hi! My name is Kie and welcome to my little corner of the internet. Rather than channel my angst into binge-drinking and listening to Linkin Park on repeat (we’ve all been there, right?), I’ve decided to start a mental health and lifestyle blog!
I’ve suffered from depression and anxiety since I was a preteen, with some PTSD and personality disorders thrown in for good measure. It’s been one hell of a battle and I have lots of things to talk about; like how I went from being an alcoholic party-animal to an anxiety-ridden social recluse. My experiences with things like drugs, abuse and suicide attempts. But most importantly, I want to talk about how self-care, and about how self-love and happiness can be found in the smallest of things.
Whilst I’m definitely not a mental health professional or guru (though after the shit-ton of therapy I’ve had, I feel like I should be!) I have plenty of tips, tricks and tidbits to share.
I’m also a huge fan of venting, so there will probably be a lot of that!
I hope you’ll join me on my journey to mental wellness, sprinkling every day with a bit of sassiness and sarcasm as we brave it through the storm!
